We are looking for individuals who like working with people and enjoy making a difference to the lives of others.

If you have good communication skills, are caring and patient, punctual, and able to learn new skills, we welcome your application [pdf].

Experience in caring for others is preferred, but not essential as training will be given. All we require of you is honesty, integrity and a passion to maximise the independence of others.

Pre-requisites for the Job
Successful applicants will be required to provide an enhanced disclosure. You will need a full driving license and must own or have access to a vehicle.

Qualifications to be a Care Worker
No formal qualifications are required to apply for care worker positions, however any relevant work experience looking after vulnerable people such as: the elderly, people with learning difficulties or other disabilities is helpful to the application. Training is conducted online and completed on-the-job. It covers everything from health and safety to care for specific disabilities. As a care worker you can work towards a Health and Social Care National Diploma, levels 1,3 and 5. The General Social Care Council (GSCC) has the latest news and codes of practice for care workers.

Job Description
Your job will be to improve the lives of vulnerable people. You will be supporting elderly or disabled people with daily living tasks in their own home. You will help clients meet their personal care needs sensitively and appropriately to a high standard, including personal hygiene, assistance with laundry, preparing meals and drinks. You may be expected to support in the taking of prescribed medicine, complying with medicine policies, including storage, administering and record-keeping. You will enable clients to achieve independence as far as possible in all areas of their life. You will proactively assist in devising, implementing and reviewing care plans by helping clients to identify and choose their support needs. Above all, you will provide a safe, comfortable and supportive home for the individuals we care for.
